Flock is inspired by the lively quail family that resides just outside my home studio. Their playful energy, graceful yet comical movements, and tightknit social bonds captivated me, leading to this series of curvaceous, stylized forms. Their rounded bodies and delicate markings reflect both their natural camouflage and the whimsical spirit of Mexican alebrijes— vivid, dreamlike animal figures imbued with personality and movement. Through these sculptures, I explore the balance of individuality and togetherness, capturing both their goofiness and quiet beauty
