New Chapters

Medium: Earthenware, B-mix with grog, raku fired

Dimensions: 10" x 7" x 1.5" inches (25.4 x 17.8 x 3.8 cm)

Inspired by the interwoven journeys of two souls entering a new chapter together, this sculptural piece explores connection, transformation, and individuality within unity. The open form creates a sense of fluid movement and embrace, symbolizing the continuous evolution of relationships.

The raku-fired white crackle glaze enhances the surface with a delicate web of unpredictable fractures, representing the unique stories, experiences, and histories that each person carries into a partnership. The intentional negative space further reinforces the idea that while paths intertwine, individuality remains.

This work continues my broader exploration of ceramic forms as vessels of meaning—objects that hold stories of connection, change, and resilience.
